Kantfish is a long term system. The practice begins from a simple observation, perception is no longer exclusively anchored in physical reality. Images, algorithms and digital environments actively participate in the construction of what we understand as real.

Rather than illustrating this change, the work operates within that tension.

AI DECENTRALIZED METAVERSE, 2024

AI Decentralized Metaverse belongs to the Metropolis series, an ongoing exploration of the city as one of the most complex expressions of human experience.

The artwork emerges from experiences in Madrid, Luanda, Decentraland and a conceptual reference to Black Rock City, incorporating elements of artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, virtual environments and decentralized systems.

Rather than representing a specific place, it constructs a hybrid geography where physical, digital and symbolic dimensions coexist.

Photography merges with artificial intelligence through digital processes developed by Kantfish to generate immersive and multidimensional environments in which urban order dissolves into dynamic systems of architecture, data, memory, light and code.

The city is no longer understood as a fixed built environment but as an expanded infrastructure operating simultaneously across material and digital realities. Metropolitan structures intertwine with informational and perceptual systems, generating landscapes that exist between representation and simulation, between observation and construction.

Within this context, the work explores how emerging technologies actively participate in the formation of perception and in the production of reality itself. Rather than offering a closed interpretation, it opens a field of observation where meaning emerges through individual experience.

Matter, light and code operate as equivalent languages within a contemporary system in which the boundaries between the physical, virtual and symbolic become increasingly porous.

AI Decentralized Metaverse does not represent the world. It exposes the infrastructures through which the world is perceived.
