Another dimension in the island of Homero – More Than Nature

The sea is a canvas.

The atmosphere appeared prehistoric.
28 meters deep, floating in the amniotic fluid of the earth, the scene appeared metallic, full of bright reflections, black clouds that change their shapes. Surrounded by thousands of fish, a copious unexpected fauna in the Mediterranean.
Ustica is the first Italian marine reserve since 1986.

The sea of Sicily is where I was born. The same day I came to life I was in my mom´s belly immersed in the sea.
Sicily is an intense land, an island full of volcanic fire in the center of the Mediterranean. In this sea, the Tirreno, the myths by Homero have lived and continue living. There they were the sirens of Ulysses.

It is a passage to another dimension. It is the place of the silver eyes, of the thousands of black stars. It is floating, flying. It is silence, paused by your very breathing, almost a meditation mantra. I see shapes and movements, in static suggestions, in reflections. I am in the belly of the earth. I am immersed in the roots, in history, in the ancestors. I’m surrounded by life. And this is what counts most in this parallel universe.
